Privacy policy
Last updated October 19, 2026.
Flicktote does not collect any information about you. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking, and the developer never receives your data.
What stays on your device
Everything Flicktote needs is kept on your device:
- The address of the Emby servers you add, your user name on them and the access token each server gives you. The token is kept in the device's secure storage.
- Your downloads, your watch progress for them and your settings.
Your password is sent only to your own Emby server to sign in. Flicktote does not save it.
What Flicktote sends, and where
- Your Emby server. Flicktote talks directly to the server you add, to browse your library, download and stream media, and report what you play so your progress and watched status stay up to date there. That server belongs to you or whoever runs it, and its owner's own policies apply to it.
- A connectivity check. To tell whether you are online before transferring files, the app may contact a standard connectivity-check address (Google's generate_204). It sends nothing about you.
- Apple. Purchases go through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and Flicktote only learns whether your Apple Account owns the unlock.
Notifications
Download notifications are created on your device. Flicktote uses no notification server.
Children
Flicktote is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
